EVERYTHING I'M NOT

The world can drive one crazy
But a smile can bring me through.
Reminding myself not to be unhappy
Because the world has its beauty.

___ramblingss

I've been learning about the essence of life in Chinese lessons. How life is so full of changes, and how people can be easily affected by anything that happens. Even if something small happens, it might affect your life forever, and decide the path that you take.

Sometimes I wonder about how we're living our lives. I wonder whether I'm living out my life fully, to the extent that I have no regrets in everything I do. And whether I'm living my life as ME. It's strange how people change their characters for others. How we mould ourselves according to what others expect of us. Do our friends really love us for who we are? Or have we already become someone that they expect us to be?

I want to be true to myself, to live my life as I want it. Yet I think this will really be interpreted as a form of stubborn behaviour by many people. Sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to be, no matter how insistent we are.
