___running

My dad commented wryly just now when he once again saw the female lead in that Korean show "Stairway to Heaven" running and running.

Dad: "Aiyoh why that girl keep running and running? Every Korean show I watch, there will always be one character who keeps running."

Me: Silently munching away on my mooncake. (Okay I know I shouldn't be eating such fatty food so late at night, but I just had the craving! hahas. )

Yet what my dad said got me down to thinking about it, and I just had this urge to blog about my thoughts. To me, what these Korean shows depict are so true, that so much of our life is actually a process of running. Running ahead, striving to get the things that we want. And I realise that in the shows, when the person is running, everything just passes by in a blur. It's only when the running stops that everything becomes clear once more. Isn't this so true? That when we don't pause sometimes in this race for everything supposedly good, the things around us become blur and we just pass them by. What if we could have gained something when we had walked instead of run, thus seeing things more clearly? Hidden gems are everywhere. Perhaps we could all stop and take a look.

Is the person who loves and desires another person truly deserving? Or the one whose love isn't reciprocated yet continues to give endless support to his/her beloved? Sometimes life just isn't as fair as we want it to be.

It's just weird to be oversensitive, to think that your friend is insulting you when he/she's just joking around. If you can't even trust that your friend will not think so badly of you and cannot differentiate between a joke and a serious statement, it just goes to say how much you don't know him/her.
