Oh my, we really did it! I'm still in a state of euphoria now. Presenting to you the NJ band - GOLD WITH HONOURS with pride! I am so proud of the band! Our hard work paid off in the end. And what can I say but NJ band ROCKS!!
Truthfully, I had my doubts about the standard of NJ band at first, because I came from such a good secondary school band. I just thought the people are really nice, so I decided to join band. This SYF has shown me what hard work can do. How passion and dedication can work wonders. Days of late night practices, displeasure within the section, being both emotionally and mentally drained. (Usually people would say they had to juggle both band practices and homework, but I seriously think I don't do my work so I shan't say that.) All these have finally resulted in a sweet sweet success.
I cried with joy when the results were announced. It was such a pleasant surprise. We always thought that other bands were better than us, and the Gold with Honours was but a dream. Yet we did it. We let NJ band regain its glory in front of the school and we showed the top bands what we could do. Next up comes Etude. We have to live up to our expectations, and this time round, I dispel all doubts about our band's standard and truly believe that we will definitely show what we can do!
